Debra has had extensive training in all facets of the parent/infant experience. She is a qualified family therapist, has a postgraduate qualification in Infant Mental Health, is fully trained in all aspects of Circle of Security including Parenting, Therapy and Core Sensitivities and is a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist.  

She practices privately from the inviting space of her home in Melbourne’s north-east.

Debra’s passion is “mothering”. She has spent many years observing the ongoing struggle women have with conception, pregnancy, birth and post birth, attachment and the early years of parenting. She recognises the process as a complex one impacted by one’s own past and present circumstances and aims to help parents identify their strengths and struggles throughout their parenting journey.

Over the years Debra has worked closely with perinatal psychiatrists and other professionals and has a deep understanding of complex cases and of various treatment modalities including Medication, Supportive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, Family Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She draws on a vast experience base and knowledge base for her private practice, to suit every individual and their unique needs.

Debra also has a strong belief in the value of early intervention and is committed to identifying and treating parenting struggles in their earliest stages to ensure that both parents and babies have an experience of joy, security and connection in their families.
